East Jordan Plastics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead daily logistics operations, coordinate transportation, and align shipping with production schedules.

You will supervise logistics personnel and manage carrier relationships to ensure timely, accurate deliveries. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and deliver exceptional customer service to support

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, including Epicor or similar business software, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, train, and support logistics coordinators and assigned team members.
• Coordinate outbound transportation activities to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Build and oversee truckload and multi-stop shipments based on customer orders and inventory availability.
• Negotiate freight rates and maintain strong relationships with approved carriers.
• Schedule customer deliveries and resolve shipping issues, delays, and transportation challenges.
• Monitor order status, inventory levels, and transportation schedules to meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams across multiple locations to maximize shipping efficiency.
• Support production scheduling activities by aligning customer demand, inventory, and manufacturing capacity.
• Conduct team meetings and communicate operational priorities and updates.
• Assist with freight claims, expedited shipments, detention charges, and other transportation-related matters.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on freight costs, shipping accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Foster collaboration between logistics, production, sales, customer service, and warehouse teams.

Physical Requirements
