Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with international trade compliance and customs regulations (import/export).
• Proven track record negotiating with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers.
• Experience designing or implementing logistics SOPs and internal controls.
• Data-driven KPI tracking and reporting.
• Strong cross-functional communication; located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX (onsite).

Role Overview

We're looking for a Logistics and Customer Manager to lead inbound and outbound logistics operations, from import and receiving to export and shipping. You'll coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transportation, customs compliance, and on-time delivery, while managing documentation, controlling logistics costs, and tracking performance through KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics, including import, receiving, export, and shipping operations.
• Coordinate international and domestic transportation with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage customs clearance and trade compliance, ensuring compliance with applicable import/export regulations and company policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping, customs, and trade documentation, including classification, country of origin, and customs valuation.
• Coordinate receiving activities, including shipment verification, receiving transactions, and resolution of shortages, damages, or documentation discrepancies.
• Manage outbound shipping execution to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation delays, customs holds, and logistics exceptions.
• Manage logistics service providers and control freight, duty, and logistics costs while maintaining service and delivery performance.
• Establish and maintain SOPs, internal controls, and records to support operational consistency, customs compliance, and audits.
• Monitor and improve key logistics KPIs, including on-time receiving/shipping, clearance lead time, documentation accuracy, freight cost, and compliance performance.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in logistics, trade compliance, or supply chain management.
• Prior experience in a supervisory role or above, with direct responsibility for managing a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing international trade compliance and customs regulations (import/export), including tariff classification and customs valuation methodology.
• Proven track record negotiating with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to manage cost, service levels, and vendor performance.
• Experience designing or implementing logistics SOPs and internal controls in an audit-relevant environment.
• Data-driven approach to KPI tracking and reporting (on-time delivery, clearance lead time, freight cost, documentation accuracy).
• Strong cross-functional communication skills to manage suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders under time-sensitive conditions.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX (Hutto); onsite role.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience is a plus.
• Experience buying indirect material and equipment is a plus.
