Hunt Electric Corporation is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Hudson, Wisconsin to support logistics strategy across the design, production and warehouse teams. You will prepare, route, schedule and track shipments from our manufacturing facility to the delivery point, coordinating with CDL drivers and third-party services to meet project deadlines.

You will work with DOT compliance, permits, and billing documents, ensuring safe operations and accurate communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; college degree in logistics or a related field preferred.
• Experience in logistics or related field and knowledge of all transportation modes.

Responsibilities

• Processes and coordinates logistics requests from production or project management teams.
• Coordinates incoming/outbound freight with vendors and third-party services.
• Schedules internal CDL drivers and third-party services.
• Updates and schedules delivery calendar for jobsite deliveries.
• Communicates delivery requirements, dates and contacts to project teams.
• Prepares Bills of Lading; ensures necessary permits.
• Works with purchasing and warehouse to stage material and load trucks.
• Ensures DOT/IFTA compliance and coordinates third-party couriers.
• May back-up warehouse or purchasing duties.

Job Description Summary The Logistics Specialist is a part of SureTree Logistics LLC, which is a member company of Evergreen Holdings. This position will play a key role in Hunt Electric’s overall logistics strategy. The Logistics Specialist will work collaboratively with our Design, Production, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure customer needs and project deadlines are met. This role will assist in preparing, routing, scheduling, and tracking shipments from our manufacturing facility to the point of delivery (both locally and across the country.) This role reports to the Logistics Director.

Role & Responsibilities

• Processes and completes incoming logistics requests from production or project management teams.
• Provides coordination, tracking, and planning for incoming and outbound freight with preferred vendors and third-party services.
• Schedules our internal team of Over the Road CDL drivers as well as third-party services as necessary.
• Updates and schedules the delivery calendar for jobsite deliveries.
• Calls ahead to jobsite locations to verify delivery requirements, dates, point of contacts, etc.
• Communicates, documents and tracks scheduled dates and changes with project team.
• Creates appropriate Bill of Lading.
• Obtains necessary permits for internal drivers.
• Works with purchasing and warehouse staff to stage material, load trucks for delivery, and ship the material.
• Cancels tickets and coordinates with project team as requested.
• Works in a safe manner and follows Hunt Electric safety program guidelines and policies.
• Ensures DOT, IFTA and other appropriate compliances are met.
• Coordinates third party couriers when necessary.
• May act as a back-up for the warehouse and/or purchasing.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent; College degree in Logistics or a related field preferred. Previous experience with logistics or a related field. Knowledge and experience in working with all modes and methods of transportation. Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a warehouse environment and is exposed to weather conditions. Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per warehouse requirements, including but not limited to, hard toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves, and high visibility vest. This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and fax machines. Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch. This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $66,560.00 - $92,160.00 Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only. In addition to base compensation, Hunt Electric offers a robust benefits plan.
