Main Purpose of Job

This position provides administrative logistic support to the Administrative Operations Division. This position also handles a variety of complex administrative, analytical and technical assignments which require a working knowledge of the agency’s programs and the ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion and confidentiality.�The position also supports the overall agency in mail processing, forms management, and fleet management.

POSITION DUTIES

Fleet Management:�


Act as primary Fleet Administrator for the agency, ensure all required documentation is completed for drivers, monitor Fleet Commander for all requests, track vehicles, inspect vehicles, complete reports, and provide staff with fleet related guidance.�




General Support to the agency:�


Retrieve mail and packages in accordance with agency guidelines, sort and distribute mail, and maintain security protocols for handling sensitive information.�




General support to the Operations Division:�


Prepare various logistical documents and inventory records, take team minutes for meetings as requested by Administrative Operations Management Team, conduct fiscal check audits, oversee various email accounts, and route inquiries as needed.�


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet all minimum (and selective) qualifications to be considered, and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying.
Education:�� Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:�One year of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30�college credit hours from an accredited college or university for�the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included�regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required�experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants�who possess the following preferred qualification(s).�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications.
One year of experience using Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Google Sheets, or Smartsheet.
Six months of Fleet Management experience.
Six months of Logistics experience (i.e., warehousing, procurement, distribution, and asset management).

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
