The Logistics Specialist role is based at an Associated Packaging, Inc. branch office. This position supports the customer service team, warehouse operations, and sales support.

1. Coordinate with the warehouse to set delivery appointments for inbound purchase orders (POs), update calendars, verify and enter inbound POs, verify lot or serial numbers, assign put-away locations, process outbound paperwork, and verify outbound shipments.
2. Perform cycle counts for accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
3. Be forklift certified and serve as the forklift trainer for the branch. Act as the main contact for facilitating and scheduling MHE services. Also, serve as the backup for warehouse personnel.
4. Provide freight quotes to the customer service team, schedule outbound shipments, arrange carrier pickups, and process pick sheets and BOLs.
5. Coordinate with freight carriers on claims to ensure timely processing and resolution.
6. Collaborate with the Freight Specialist on freight damage claims.
7. Process and pay branch invoices, including those for products, freight, and office supplies.
8. Manage open sales orders to generate customer billings.
9. Serve as Safety Coordinator by conducting safety audits and inspections, and maintaining the product quarantine area.
10. Manage transactions with third-party warehouses, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory monitoring, and freight cost control.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Forklift certification
• OSHA 10-hour certification
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, freight, or warehousing
• Knowledge of LTL, TL, and small parcel operations
• Lean Six Sigma or equivalent root cause analysis experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ERP, and Transportation Management systems
• Experience with NetSuite and FreightPop

Competencies:

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Teamwork skills
