SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, conceptual thinking and superb organizational and time management skills. It also requires reliability and strong multi-tasking skills.
This role is responsible for overseeing all liquid procurement. It also manages all fluid freight carriers and contracts. It has additional responsibility for warehouse schedule planning and document preparation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for sourcing and managing all fluid freight carriers and contracts.
Responsible for cost analysis and pricing negotiations, as well as delivery schedules.
Obtaining quotes from different suppliers
Invent negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals.
Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
Manages truck detention, freight charges, and truck washes to assure accurate billing.
Responsible for daily logistics for liquid procurement and liquid sales.
Responsible for communicating schedule changes regarding raw milk and load in/load outs.
Oversees warehouse shipping schedules CDF and CDFSW and preparation of shipping paperwork.
Responsible for Weekly Export Shipment Documentation and Requirements
This role requires nights, weekends, and holiday on- call hours.
This role serves as a backup to the Logistics Manager as needed.
Assists with daily milk receipts with current suppliers to balance accounts.
Assists with communication with producers regarding milk weight balancing and any irregularities to balance out final weight for invoicing.
Assist with liquid sales order entry, and processing Bill of Ladings, and Certificates of Analysis.
Ensure confidentiality and discreet handling of all business.
Performs other duties as required by Management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people is essential.
Strong project management and leadership skills
Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
Experience, with Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
Bachelor of science degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is preferred or equivalent experience in the industry.
