Logistics Specialist at Ultimate Staffing

Ultimate Staffing, a Roth Staffing Company, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join a computer hardware manufacturing client in Grapevine, TX. This is a full-time, onsite position.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee shipments from start to finish.
2. Quote shipment costs to customers and Account Managers.
3. Book shipments with carriers, schedule pickups and deliveries.
4. Interact professionally with carrier sales representatives and freight customers.
5. Assist with cargo claims, including filing and updating customer info.
6. Address invoice discrepancies, research quote history, and accessorial requests.
7. Analyze logistics to find cost-effective transportation methods.
8. Create policies and procedures for logistics activities.
9. Negotiate rates and execute agreements with carriers.
10. Develop and update work instructions and SOPs.
11. Maintain a positive work environment with open communication.
12. Keep the warehouse organized and clean.
13. Support a healthy, safe, and positive work environment for all staff.

Requirements:

1. Associate's degree in logistics or related field.
2. At least 3 years' experience in logistics or related roles.
3. Fluency in Microsoft Office.
4. Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and have an entrepreneurial attitude.
5. Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
6. Ability to analyze data and performance trends.
7. Basic statistical data analysis skills.
8. Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues.
