Job summary

Germer International - Pharmaceutical Recruiting is seeking a Logistics Specialist to coordinate warehousing, logistics, and inventory management in support of operations. The role collaborates with warehouse teams, internal units, customer service, suppliers and clients to ensure timely movement of materials.

Responsibilities include coordinating distribution, ensuring GMP compliance, conducting material movements, and driving lean improvements to boost efficiency across the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP or other ERP with Microsoft Office experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee distribution activities for final pharma products, samples, and materials across facilities, client sites, labs, depots and patient locations.
  • Facilitate movement of materials into cGMP manufacturing areas.
  • Provide advanced training to Logistics and Warehouse personnel on material/inventory management responsibilities.
  • Determine inventory disposition per regulatory and internal requirements and advise on financial impact.
  • Utilize SAP and MS Office to support material allocation, resolve discrepancies and support quality events.
  • Provide direction on inventory issues including UOM, expiration dating, labeling and SAP transactions.
  • Ensure GMP compliance and transportation/material handling regulations (DOT, IATA, RCRA).
  • Own and execute quality events (deviations, CAPAs, change controls) with timely investigation and closure.
  • Drive process improvements applying lean principles to streamline supply chain processes.

Job description

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing warehousing, logistics, and inventory management activities in support of operations. This role works cross functionally with warehouse personnel, internal business units, customer service representatives, suppliers, and clients to ensure the timely and accurate movement of materials.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate the distribution activities of final pharmaceutical product and supporting samples/ materials, including process development materials, analytical testing/ stability samples, retains, and investigational materials between company facilities, client sites, testing laboratories, clinical depots, distribution centers, and patient locations.

  • Facilitate the movement of materials into cGMP manufacturing areas

  • Provide advanced training to Logistics and Warehouse personnel on material/inventory management responsibilities

  • Determine inventory disposition in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements and advise on associated financial impacts.

  • Utilize SAP and Microsoft Office applications to support material allocation, resolve material discrepancies and supply issues, and support quality events.

  • Provide direction to Logistics and Warehouse personnel concerning inventory issues, including but not limited to UOM, Expiration Dating, Labeling, Consumption and SAP Transactions

  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable transportation and material handling regulations, including DOT, IATA, and RCRA regulations.

  • Own and execute Quality events, including Deviations, CAPAs, and Change Controls, ensuring timely investigation, documentation, and closure

  • Drive efforts for process improvements, applying lean principles to streamline supply chain processes and increase operational efficiency

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP or other ERP with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications.

  • 1-3 Years experience in a regulated industry
