Job summary

Commonwealth Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Materials Associate to coordinate day-to-day material movements, receive and inspect deliveries, and ensure accuracy of records against purchase orders and packing lists.

The role supports inventory control through routine cycle counts and reconciliations, while keeping storage areas orderly and inspection-ready. You will work closely with Operations and Quality Assurance to review and release incoming materials and perform additional related

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years in warehouse operations or materials management preferred.
  • Experience in a cGMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or other regulated setting preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day material movement including receiving, shipping, storage, and internal distribution.
  • Process incoming deliveries; inspect quantity, condition, and damage.
  • Review POs and packing lists to match received materials to requirements.
  • Assist with inventory control via cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Identify, label, store, and distribute materials per procedures and requirements.
  • Keep warehouse areas tidy and inspection-ready at all times.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Quality Assurance to review and release incoming materials.
  • Perform additional material management tasks as needed.

Job description

  • Coordinate day-to-day material movement activities, including receiving, shipping, storage, and internal distribution.
  • Process incoming deliveries, inspecting shipments for quantity, condition, and potential damage.
  • Review purchase orders, packing lists, and related documentation to ensure received materials match established requirements.
  • Assist with inventory control through routine cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and stock verification.
  • Properly identify, label, store, and distribute materials according to established procedures and operational requirements.
  • Keep warehouse and storage areas orderly, clean, and maintained in a state of readiness for internal and external inspections.
  • Work closely with Operations and Quality Assurance to verify that incoming materials are appropriately reviewed and released for use.
  • Complete additional material management and departmental activities as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, materials management, shipping/receiving, or inventory control; experience in a cGMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or other regulated setting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with cGMP material handling and storage practices, including the segregation and control of Quarantine, Released, and Rejected materials, preferred.
