Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a reliable Logistics Specialist in Loxley, AL to route‑monitor in real time and provide hourly status reports. You will handle order entry, routing, dispatching and traffic coordination while delivering strong customer service to drivers and receivers.

The role requires a proactive communicator with basic knowledge of the transportation industry, and the ability to write routine reports.

Qualifications

• Background Check and Drug Screen required.
• 1 year of logistics experience.
• General knowledge of transportation industry.
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to follow written, verbal or diagram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken.
• Take calls from drivers to ensure loads deliver on time and verify data for accounting.
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages and document findings.
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads and manage load direction.
• Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers.

LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Logistics Specialist for a well-known logistics delivery partner based in Loxley, AL. On this team you will route‑monitor in real time and send hourly reports. You will need to have great customer service and phone skills to be able to communicate with both delivery teams and customers. As a Logistics Specialist you will be responsible for providing logistics support, including order entry, routing, dispatching and traffic coordination. Pay Rate

$18.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Saturday (Closed Sunday+ 1 more day off)

Logistics Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

• Update account managers on problem loads and what actions have been taken; update receivers and customers on status on loads
• Take calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers
• Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers

Logistics Specialist Qualifications and Requirements

• General knowledge of transportation industry

• The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form
