Job Summary

The Logistics Specialist II will start onsite at our Clarksville, IN location and will relocate to our new Louisville, KY location around July. The schedule is Mon. - Fri., 8:00 AM EST - 4:30 PM EST. The role involves enhancing workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans affecting production, distribution, and inventory. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs. The role also involves ensuring rational distribution and delivery based on analysis reports and tracking records, and serving as a backup for other logistics positions.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Review and create daily reports used internally and companywide to assess logistics performance.
  • Align and allocate company resources to meet client needs.
  • Manage the integrity and accuracy of logistics data.
  • Handle and resolve daily carrier and courier issues.
  • Conduct analyses to determine optimal shipping solutions, reroute shipments as needed to meet demands and minimize costs.
  • Participate in daily Logistics Operations meetings, investigate client complaints, ensure CAPAs are completed, and verify corrective actions.
  • Develop, document, and maintain SOPs for logistics operations, ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate provider and vendor performance, providing feedback and solutions for improvement.
  • Review and scrub data to ensure database accuracy and alignment.
  • Lead the location and recovery of missing and damaged packages, including CAPA reviews and action plans.
  • Participate in and lead logistics performance improvement projects related to service, quality, and cost.
  • Assist in training Logistics Specialist I in technical duties and system use.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent experience.

Competencies/Skills

  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.
  • Analyzing raw data and creating management reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Visio.
  • Experience with shipping and logistics software.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience as a logistics specialist or analyst or similar role.
  • Preferred experience with UPS and/or FedEx operations.
  • Healthcare logistics experience is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM and TMS systems is preferred.
