Job Description

We are currently hiring Sample Warehousing and Logistics Specialist to operate our ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System).

We are a large environmental contract laboratory that processes and stores over 60,000 samples at any given time. Our storage system utilizes software, computers, and robotics to streamline handling, storing, and retrieving samples for our laboratory technicians. Candidates will be required to learn basic troubleshooting techniques to keep the system running in an efficient manner during overnight hours.

Candidates in this role will be responsible for:

• Pulling samples requested for employees who are scheduled to analyze them
• Returning samples back to the ASRS that had been used in the lab on the previous day
• Pulling samples that have expired and processing them for disposal
• Pulling samples that require an extended retention and processing them for long term storage
• Working with the ASRS and performing sometroubleshooting as needed
• Addition duties as assigned

This role is 3rd Shift, M-F. Training will be M-F 8am-4:30pm.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

• Basic knowledge of working with machinery or mechanical moving parts
• Some experience troubleshooting problems with mechanical moving parts
• Basic knowledge in using tools and understanding issues as they arise
• The ability to effectively function during shift hours
• The ability to self-motivate
• The ability to maintain effectiveness
• The ability to make good decisions when confronted with unexpected challenges

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Some mechanical background and knowledge

Additional Information

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

Pay rate: $17.75 + 10% shift differential
