Sofidel America in Shelby, NC is seeking a Transportation and Shipping Office Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in deliveries and shipments. The role focuses on supervising staff, coordinating carriers, and maintaining efficient, compliant shipping processes.

The position requires strong communication, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and experience with SAP or TMS as preferred tools. A reliable, detail-oriented leader will help ensure accurate and timely freight execution.

Qualificações

• Associate's degree or high school diploma/GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in transportation/shipping.
• Experience supervising hourly workforce preferred.
• Strong communication skills and accuracy under time pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise daily work and safety of transportation, shipping office, and gate house staff; ensure SOPs and safe customer service.
• Select appropriate carriers based on orders and coordinate with vendor traffic departments to confirm deliveries.
• Coordinate with departments to monitor timeliness and accuracy of shipments and deliveries.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Accounting to set priorities and track shipments; verify deliveries.
• Analyze invoices to reconcile detention and mileage costs and validate freight claims with carriers.
• Oversee labor hours and prepare work schedules, including extra shifts as needed.
• Review delivery productivity; suggest efficiency improvements and cost-reduction measures.
• Perform supervisor duties to assist the transportation and shipping office manager in staff development.
• Lead team discussions and meetings; perform duties of supervised associates as needed.
