Qualifications

Job description

Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all aspects of the buildings, equipment, and grounds, excluding major repairs and renovations. Maintain operational parameters and control operating costs. Exhibit general maintenance knowledge and provide service to all aspects of the facility, coordinating with management on safety during emergencies involving federally regulated processes. Minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience in distribution or manufacturing
  • 7+ years of proven maintenance experience with technical knowledge
  • 2+ years of team or project leadership
  • Strong troubleshooting, operational, and comprehension skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and CMMS
  • Ability to coach and train staff
  • Understanding of industry/technical terms and processes
  • General maintenance knowledge and ability to repair/maintain equipment and facilities
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and mechanical skills

Desired qualifications:

  • Associate Degree
  • Experience with electrical or general mechanical systems
  • Proactive maintenance management skills
  • Ability to ensure timely completion of work orders with high accuracy
  • Skills in safety education and equipment inspection
  • Experience working with planners/schedulers for preventive maintenance
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and efficiency
  • Ability to analyze root causes and recommend procedural or training changes
  • Develop a preventative maintenance culture to protect assets and prevent crises
  • Oversee routine equipment maintenance and determine necessary work
  • Promote safety and maintain a zero-accident environment
  • Manage costs to stay within budget
  • Report all labor, parts, and work through CMMS daily
  • Maintain documentation such as blueprints and manuals
  • Train and supervise maintenance staff
  • Maintain professionalism and high standards
  • Foster effective communication within the team
  • Supervise and evaluate team performance, providing feedback
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
