Job description

Summary

Responsible for daily workflow activities including membership/enrollment tasks such as processing applications for new enrollments, terminations/cancellations, changes, renewals, and database updates.

Description

Logistics: This is a part-time Work from Home position based in Richland County, SC. It offers flexible hours/days and pays a piece rate per completed work.

What You Will Do:
  • Log and process subscriber and member enrollment applications, including new enrollments, cancellations, changes, and renewals.
  • Update electronic enrollment files and resolve errors from membership transaction reports.
  • Coordinate with operational areas to ensure correct group structure, status, benefits, and billing; may prepare and distribute contracts, benefit books, and ID cards.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues by contacting plan administrators and internal/external customers.
  • Participate in special projects related to enrollment, billing, and reconciliation processes.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of membership systems, proficiency in Word and Excel, good judgment, customer service skills, effective communication, basic math, analytical thinking, and discretion with sensitive information.

Software/Tools: Microsoft Office; preferred knowledge of Microsoft Access and database software.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialized training in office technology or secretarial science.
  • One year of customer service or administrative support experience.
  • Knowledge of database software, support systems, ID card preparation, insurance regulations, and benefit structures.
Work Environment:

Typical office setting with some travel and physical movement of materials.
