Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage records of incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinate acceptance, delivery, and storage, and resolve issues with damages, shortages, and nonconformance.

You will ensure accurate documentation and communicate with carriers and customers to resolve discrepancies. The role requires occasional travel by automobile or airplane, a 4am start schedule (5 days on, 2 days off), and basic math and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or minimum 1 year of work experience in shipping and receiving.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Experience using calculators, desktop computers, and photocopiers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with representatives and carriers to resolve problems such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
• Arrange shipping and delivery of materials and determine appropriate shipping methods based on procedures, routes, and rates.
• Examine shipment contents and verify accuracy against records such as manifests, invoices, or orders.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
• Record and report shipment data including weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies for accounting and recordkeeping.
• Maintain correspondence with customers and document all communications to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide assistance in answering telephones, resolving distribution center issues, and supporting warehouse operations as needed.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
