Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. in is seeking a Warehouse/Shipping Associate to manage records of incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinate with carriers, and resolve discrepancies. The role requires attention to documentation and accurate data entry, with occasional travel as needed.

The position supports warehouse operations, with a 4am start time and a 5 days on/2 days off schedule. Candidates should have a GED or equivalent experience and familiarity with WMS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or minimum 1 year of shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Experience using calculators, desktop computers, and photocopiers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with representatives and carriers to resolve damages, shortages, and nonconformance issues.
• Arrange shipping and delivery of materials and determine methods based on procedures, routes, and rates.
• Examine shipment contents and verify accuracy against records like manifests, invoices, or orders.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
• Record and report shipment data including weight, charges, space availability, and discrepancies.
• Maintain correspondence with customers and document all communications to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in answering phones and supporting warehouse operations as needed.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned.
