Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate (Finance) to manage records of shipments, coordinate acceptance and storage, and ensure accurate documentation with carriers and customers.

You may travel by automobile or airplane for business purposes. Ideal candidates have basic arithmetic skills, familiarity with warehouse systems, and experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or minimum 1 year of work experience in shipping and receiving.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Experience using calculators, desktop computers, and photocopiers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with carriers to resolve damages, shortages, and nonconformance.
• Arrange shipping and delivery of materials based on procedures, routes, and rates.
• Examine shipment contents and verify accuracy against records ( manifests, invoices, orders ).
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents such as bills of lading and work orders.
• Record shipment data including weight, charges, and discrepancies for accounting.
• Maintain correspondence with customers and document communications to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in answering phones and supporting warehouse operations as needed.
• Other essential duties may be assigned.
