Job summary

Fluidstack in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to join the Logistics Team. You will inspect inbound freight at docks, document condition, count items, and ensure packing lists match before release.

You will own shortage and damage claims from first photo to resolution, score performance of carriers, and help establish standard inspection procedures across sites.

Qualifications

• Damages, shortages, or mislabeled freight documented at the dock with evidence.
• Written inspection standards or checklists used by others.
• Root-cause fixes for recurring damage patterns.
• Experience handling claims with carriers or insurers.
• Maintaining findings in a system (WMS/ERP/tracker).
• Clear written communication to site leads, carriers, or vendors.
• Bonus: high-value hardware handling and quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound freight at docks and document condition against packing lists before signing.
• Run shortages, damage, and mis-ship claims from photo to resolution with carrier/insurance paperwork.
• Score carriers, 3PLs, and warehouses on on-time, damage-free delivery and drive corrective actions.
• Verify serials and disposition on returned hardware to move items back to vendors.
• Draft receiving inspection standards, packing specs, and defect reporting for sites.
