Candidates should be experienced with calipers, micrometers, gauges, blueprint reading, and COCs. A basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 is required, as are strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualificações

Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Title: Receiving Inspector

Reports To: Quality Manager

Position Summary:

Receiving Inspector will be responsible for conducting detailed dimensional and visual inspections on critical parts, assemblies, and raw material. Inspector will be required to document their inspection findings, produce the necessary documentation and reports, establishing acceptance or rejection. The inspection involves using tools such as;calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Basic knowledge of the requirements, maintenance, and implementation of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 guidelines a must.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Follow all established quality management system procedures and work instructions as applicable
2. Uses basic measuring tools to validate incoming product
3. Use of internal and online databases to recall and input data, reference drawings and specifications
4. Verifies the data stated on material or hardware certifications matches the requirements
5. Physically confirm that incoming hardware and parts received from outside processing is conforming by measuring and counting the parts when required.
6. Performs essential inventory control functions, stocking parts, cycle counts, labeling product, etc....

Knowledge & Skills:

1. Experienced in blueprint and drawing reading, surface plate inspection, and inspection equipment
2. Ability to understand customer specifications and requirements
3. Ability to understand certificate of conformances to ensure they meet blueprint/purchase order requirements
4. Effective communication skills, both oral and written
5. Good organizational skills

Education and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent, Minimum 2 years experience in receiving inspection or as a quality inspector. Manufacturing, Government Contracting, Aviation, and/or Defense Industry experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must have close visual acuity. May be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, and dust.
