Job summary

MEI in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support Project Managers and Accounting Supervisors on storage, transportation, and rigging projects. You will maintain inventory, compile invoice documentation, and help manage project data across systems.

You will coordinate with warehouse teams, verify inventory, assist in cost tracking, and act as a liaison among Project Managers, Accounting, Warehouse, and Field Services to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, project management or related field preferred.
• Three (3) years’ experience as a Project Coordinator in logistics/ supply chain, construction, rigging, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with equipment tracking management and equipment inventory recordkeeping.
• Intermediate computer skills using a Windows-based system; proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent team-building skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and coordinate related activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal leadership team; demonstrated ability to positively interface with clients.
• Analytical skills with the ability to explain data-driven technical information to all levels of staff.
• Be organized, goal orientated, and deadline driven; self-motivated and self-driven.
• Knowledge of accounting principles helpful for invoicing practices and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with warehouse and project managers to verify inventory status and readiness for delivery.
• Ensure storage data accuracy through daily system audits and cross-checks.
• Assist in job cost tracking by reconciling PO numbers, serial numbers, barcodes, and other equipment identifiers.
• Maintain equipment traceability and log final setting location across project lifecycle.
• Support customer requests with documentation, equipment photos, and real-time inventory updates.
• Prepare invoice backup packets for key accounts and assist with month-end billing.
• Review customer documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Act as liaison between Project Managers, Accounting, Warehouse, Dispatch, and Field Services to ensure alignment.
• Identify opportunities to streamline documentation and inventory workflows.
