Qualifications

• Basic skill: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc).
• Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred.
• Ability to communicate well with different departments.
• Ability to transfer knowledge and train others.
• Ability to solve problems and work under pressure using independent judgement and discretion.
• Detail oriented and computer-based keyboard skills.
• Language: speak and write in English fluently; bilingual: Spanish preferred.
• Experience: none load planning & supply chain experience acceptable; fresh graduate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load optimization daily on Transportation Management System and Warehouse Management System.
• Manage planning and coordination of transportation services to maximize efficiency.
• Utilize judgement and network balance capacity tools to assign loads to trucks and meet area needs.
• Plan for acceptance of loads and assign to trucks; ensure service requirements are met.
• Dispatch planned loads and own loads for assigned area.
• Coordinate with designated teams to manage customer trailer pools and network needs.
• Communicate late pickups, deliveries, cancellations, or reassignments to department personnel.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and driver hours of service.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere and support company operations.
• Perform additional managerial duties as assigned.
