Description

Position Title: Logistics Planner

Location: Houston Office

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Responsible to: Director of Corporate Services

Position Summary: The Logistics Planner plays a key role in supporting long-term operational efficiency and resource alignment within our logistics function. This position is responsible for forecasting site moves, planning gas nominations, and coordinating staffing strategies to meet dynamic market demands. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, highly detail-oriented, and possess a solid understanding of logistics operations within the CNG/mobile power industry.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Logistics team to forecast long-term site movements and demand changes.

Plan gas nominations in alignment with current and anticipated market demand.

Work closely with the Scheduling team to project driver staffing requirements and adjust for fluctuations.

Analyze operational data using Excel and other analytical tools to optimize planning outcomes.

Manage and maintain logistics-related databases and support the implementation of new software solutions.

Ensure clear and professional communication with internal teams and external partners.

Create easily interpreted weekly reporting of logistics metrics.

Other Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent certification required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in logistics operations (dispatch, routing, load planning, or optimization preferred).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

Comfortable with learning and operating new logistics or database management software.

Other Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License (required).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Industry knowledge in CNG/mobile power is preferred.

Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards is a plus.
