Qualifications

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Skillful with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to understand and execute time-sensitive tasks.
• Experience in a customer-facing position.
• Two years of prior experience working in a Dispatcher or similar leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Analyze daily route information and implement changes to improve routing efficiency and accuracy.
• Respond to same-day and next-day service needs for customers.
• Verify route data accuracy and ensure routes close on time.
• Proactively resolve problems that arise with trucks and drivers in transit.
• Manage driver safety and asset security.
• Collect and analyze logistics data to improve routing decisions.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers regarding route progress.
• Evaluate driver performance and address concerns.
• Understand route sequencing to maximize efficiency.
• Address missed pickups and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Create routes with maximal capacity and review per-driver loads for profitability.
