Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operations Specialist to coordinate and optimize daily waste management operations within a defined business area. The role supports technical and customer service tasks, monitors performance, and drives process improvements to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery.

The incumbent will troubleshoot systems, manage schedules, and collaborate with dispatchers to optimize routes and resources while maintaining records and generating KPI reports.

Responsibilities

• Handles scheduling of waste pickups and equipment deliveries.
• Ensures efficient routing and resource allocation with dispatchers and daily debriefs.
• Responds to customer inquiries about waste and recycling procedures.
• Addresses complaints and provides solutions related to waste collection or recycling issues.
• Ensures customer satisfaction with waste management services.
• Identifies and resolves operational issues, such as equipment malfunctions and route delays.
• Monitors and reports waste collection and recycling data.
• Ensures adherence to environmental regulations and waste management guidelines.
• Troubleshoots office system issues and assists with software problems.
• Manages inventory and coordinates with other departments.
