You will source carriers, negotiate rates, track shipments, resolve issues, and maintain records in the TMS. The role offers base salary with uncapped incentives and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in third-party logistics or transportation operations.
• Experience coordinating shipments with carriers and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience using TMS, load boards, tracking platforms, and carrier portals.
• Attention to detail and commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipments from booking to final delivery.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with customers, carriers, shippers, and receivers.
• Source and select qualified carriers based on service requirements, availability, and pricing.
• Negotiate carrier rates while supporting company margin and service expectations.
• Track shipments and provide customers with timely and accurate updates.
• Identify potential service disruptions and take action to minimize delays.
• Resolve operational issues, including missed appointments, delays, damages, shortages, and other shipment exceptions.
• Verify shipment details, carrier documentation, and load information for accuracy.
• Maintain complete and accurate shipment records within the transportation management system.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal team members.
• Partner with accounting to resolve billing discrepancies, accessorial charges, and documentation issues.
• Ensure carriers and shipments meet company vetting, safety, and compliance standards.
• Support internal teams with operational needs and customized transportation solutions.
