Job summary

Greif, a global leader in packaging and supply chain solutions, seeks a Logistics Operations Specialist for North America. You will execute day-to-day transportation operations, tender shipments to carriers, and collaborate with Sales, Plant Operations, and Procurement to align logistics with business goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience, plus strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant logistics experience.
• Knowledge of transportation industries and shipping processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with a TMS (E2Open preferred).

Responsibilities

• Execute tactical day-to-day transportation operations for an NA area.
• Tender shipments to carriers using routing guides and load planning systems.
• Make spot-market routing decisions when needed.
• Interact with carriers to resolve service issues.
• Consolidate LTL shipments into truckloads to reduce costs.
• Monitor on-time pickup and delivery performance.
• Support SOPs, KPI metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist as backup for other logistics roles as assigned.
• Coordinate with Sales/CS, Plant Ops, and Procurement stakeholders.
• Support TMS administration (tariffs, rates, routing guides).
