Fracht Group - North America is seeking an Operations Specialist to manage shipments end-to-end for both exports and imports in a Houston-based role. You will coordinate transport, communicate with clients and carriers, review documents, and ensure compliance with global shipping rules while delivering exceptional service.

The role requires experience in freight forwarding, knowledge of regulations, and proficiency with logistics software and MS Office.

• Proven experience in freight forwarding operations, with a focus on exports and imports.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cargo movement based on client requirements in a professional, cost effective and timely manner.
• Work with clients to provide transportation solutions with high levels of service.
• Communicate with transportation vendors from bookings to rate negotiations.
• Review customer documentation to ensure efficient shipping.
• Prepare shipping documents and handle shipments from A-Z.
• Educate clients about export regulations and country requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, and customs agents to move goods smoothly.
• Manage customer inquiries and provide service for both export and import shipments.
• Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries and address delays.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs rules.
• Handle billing, invoicing, and financial transactions related to shipments.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in operations.
