Job summary

Arning Companies is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support daily freight, transportation, and logistics operations. The role involves coordinating schedules, arranging shipments, managing purchase orders, and communicating with internal teams, drivers, vendors, and outside carriers.

The candidate should be highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and proficient in logistics-related software and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with logistics, scheduling, transportation, purchasing, and related software systems.
• Experience creating, tracking, receiving, and accurately documenting purchase orders and related records.
• Ability to manage driver pay documentation accurately and on time.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow up on outstanding items and maintain compliance records.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to multitask while working independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Pull schedules and coordinate daily logistics needs.
• Coordinate LTL pickups and communicate shipment details with carriers, vendors, drivers, and internal teams.
• Create, receive, and manage purchase orders for XPO, UPS, LTL, outside carrier, and outsourced shipments.
• Complete driver pay sheets and verify related documentation.
• Monitor driver whereabouts, ELD compliance, and shipment tracking as needed.
• Create delivery sheets for drivers, shipping, and outside carriers.
• Monitor the Freight Bill of Lading folder and assign purchase orders when due.
• Coordinate company vehicle maintenance, usage tracking, mileage reporting, and compliance records.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
