United Road in Romulus, MI seeks an Operations Manager to support the Terminal Manager in supervising terminal personnel and processes. You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day operations to maximize profitability and service levels.

The role demands leadership, data analysis, and strong communication to manage staff, costs, and customer relationships while ensuring on-time freight delivery and a high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of logistics experience, preferably in trucking.
• Strong oral and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Subject matter expert on FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• elog experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Direct the duties of staff and supervision of the terminal.
• Analyze operating costs, equipment utilization, and revenue.
• Ensure on-time delivery of freight; resolve customer issues.
• Build and maintain positive customer and vendor relationships.
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain safety compliance.
• Oversee safety requirements including Hours-of-Service and DOT rules.
• Disseminate information to leadership on staffing, budget, risks.
• Establish local procedures for safety and productivity.
• Address CSA violations and driver discipline per policy.
• Ensure OEM inventories are accurately reflected in OVISS.
