Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager at the Camp Hill service center to oversee routing, dock operations and performance within budget goals. You will lead drivers and dock staff, coordinate with the Line Coordinator on line haul schedules, and uphold safety, security and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, professional conduct, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced transportation environment with modern facilities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the LTL/ Transportation Industry
• Has managed Drivers and Dockworkers
• Knowledge of the surrounding geographical area to the Service Center

Responsibilities

• Develop methods and procedures for efficient routing and movement of freight within budget guidelines
• Utilize systems (P&D and Dock Operations) to maximize resource usage
• Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly production and service records
• Monitor service center performance and advise on staffing and scheduling needs
• Maintain strong customer relations and professional conduct
• Assist in training and evaluating supervisory and production staff
• Recruit prospective subordinate employees in coordination with the Service Center Manager
• Inspect facilities for safety and cleanliness and ensure security protocols
