Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking an Operations Supervisor to plan, schedule, and optimize the routing and movement of customers’ freight with emphasis on efficiency and accuracy.

You will supervise shifts, compile performance data, coordinate billing and freight analysis, and ensure smooth Center operations with clean, late-model equipment and a people-centered work environment. The role offers growth opportunities and a competitive weekly pay with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Compile production and service records and measure conformance to standards
• Inspect and measure performance of personnel resulting in changes in work practices necessary to improve overall Service Center operations
• Review logs and reports and confers with shift personnel to ascertain scheduling, production and administrative support requirements
• Set up appointment freight deliveries
• Perform and/or assist with billing, rating, manifesting and analysis of freight weight and size
