Job summary

Jumia is seeking a Logistics Operations Leader to oversee daily inbound and outbound activities across all distribution channels. You will streamline route planning, carrier allocation, and handovers to maximize efficiency while driving cost optimization and timely deliveries.

You will investigate delays, collaborate with Warehouse Operations, Procurement and Tech teams, and maintain data integrity in ERP/TMS systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics management and transportation operations.
• Ability to lead a high-performing logistics team and coordinate across departments.
• Strong analytical skills to root-cause bottlenecks and optimize workflows.
• Comfort with TMS, ERP tools and route optimization software; proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily inbound and outbound logistics operations across distribution channels.
• Optimize route planning, carrier allocation and transport handovers for efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve complex transport delays with internal and external partners.
• Maintain KPIs on-time delivery, freight costs and carrier SLA compliance.
• Drive process improvements to LMS/TMS and transport efficiency.
• Ensure accurate data in ERP and TMS platforms for shipments and costs.
