Job summary

Jumia, a leading pan-African e-commerce platform, is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to lead inventory operations at our fulfillment center. You will oversee receiving, storing, counting, and tracking stock to ensure accuracy, availability, and cost efficiency.

You will develop controls, lead a team of inventory associates, collaborate with Purchasing, Sales and Operations, and drive improvements in layout, processes, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain experience with supervisory skills.
• Strong knowledge of IMS/WMS and inventory control procedures in fast-paced environments.
• Analytical skills to analyze data and identify optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of inventory management within the fulfillment center.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and costs.
• Monitor stock levels and collaborate with Purchasing, Sales and Operations to optimize replenishment.
• Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
• Lead and develop a team of inventory associates and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop strategies to optimize warehouse layout and picking processes.
• Prepare and present reports on inventory performance to senior management.
