Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of transportation, logistics, brokerage, or 3PL experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation operations, and load planning.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as TruckMate, PC Miler, Fleetmatics, or RoadNet.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills; bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a warehouse/distribution environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily logistics operations, dispatch, and workflow to ensure efficient transportation services.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, customer requirements, and transportation regulations.
• Manage customer load quotes, carrier selection, rate negotiations, and shipment tracking.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers and carriers, providing timely shipment updates.
• Monitor carrier performance, resolve shipment issues, and improve logistics processes.
• Train, coach, and evaluate dispatch staff while fostering a positive team environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and shipment records.
• Support daily operations by stepping into key roles as needed and remain on-call for emergencies.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
