Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking an Operations Coordinator at our equipment processing center in Houston, TX. This role focuses on coordinating customer service, inventory control, and production workorders to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in customer service and inventory control, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Excel. You'll work in a fast-paced shop/yard environment and collaborate with manufacturing teams and logistics

Qualifications

1 year of experience in customer service and inventory control preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills required.
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows.

Responsibilities

Responds to customer service inquiries concerning account activities, priorities, and status.
Opens, closes, and reconciles production workorders.
Prioritizes and assigns workorders for completion to appropriate employees.
Coordinates account activities with manufacturing personnel and Third Party Logistics Provider.
Tracks inbound parts and equipment and forecasts incoming volume.
Maintains equipment inventory, tracking, location, status, and billing systems.
Enters product receipts and picks into inventory management system; verifies accuracy.
Performs reporting and analyzes results to management and customer.
Cross-trains and performs other administrative functions including dispatching of parts/equipment and printing BOLs.
