Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, or 1 year of management/transportation experience
• Willing to travel to account, customer, and company events when applicable
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
• Willingness to regionally relocate dependent on account assignment

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safe carriers to ensure seamless carrier setup and productivity
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability
• Learn to train drivers and employees on internal and third party systems
• Improve fleet efficiency and profitability and present customer reporting and financial analysis
• Gain knowledge to manage inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment
• Perform payroll, budget management, driver counseling, invoicing, and reporting duties
• Manage yard operations and coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance and safety issues
• Collaborate with drivers, customers, and staff to resolve service, routing, and planning issues
• Maintain safety culture and ensure DOT compliance and company safety requirements
• Assign loads, plan routes, and monitor freight movements to meet on-time service and customer requirements
