J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Hanover, PA is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the management of a small driver count and non-traditional shifts while ensuring safe, on-time freight movement and best-in-class customer service.

The role will be trained to ensure DOT compliance, oversee driver performance, coordinate with carriers, and develop reporting and budgeting skills through hands-on assignments across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or related field, and/or equivalent military experience
• Willing to travel to account, customer, and company event locations when applicable
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
• Willingness to regionally relocate dependent on account assignment

Responsabilités

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and outside carriers to ensure seamless new carrier set-up, minimize turnover, and maximize productivity
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on projects related to optimizing fleet operations and profitability
• Learn to use personnel management including training and orientation of drivers and employees
• Gain knowledge on managing inventory, assets, customer pools and driver assignments to balance equipment
• Learn to perform administrative duties such as payroll, driver counseling, incident reviews, and financial reporting
