J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is hiring for a Manager Trainee in Lansing, MI to learn the management of small driver counts and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.

You will help ensure safe, on-time freight movement and customer service while training for DOT compliance and company policy adherence. The role involves hands-on learning in load planning, routing, and performance reporting, with opportunities to develop financial and operational analysis skills within a supportive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with up to 4 years of related education, experience, and training.
• Currently enrolled toward a degree program with up to 2 years remaining, or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to travel to account/customer locations when applicable.

Responsabilités

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and carriers for seamless carrier setup.
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on special projects to optimize fleet operations.
• Assist with training drivers and employees on internal and third-party systems.
• Assist in maximizing fleet efficiency and prepare customer reports and financial analyses.
• Help manage inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment.
• Perform payroll, budgeting, pay issue resolution, and prepare operational reports.
