Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Manager Trainee Spring 2027 in Denver, CO.

The role supports learning to manage a small driver count, ensure safe, on-time freight movement, and uphold DOT compliance. You will interact with drivers, carriers, and internal teams to plan, route, monitor, and deliver shipments. The position requires a bachelor's degree or high school with relevant experience, willingness to travel, and ability to work nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 1 year of management/logistics experience.
• Willingness to travel to account, customer, and company events.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights/weekends and relocation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build positive relationships with drivers and external carriers to set up new carriers and maximize productivity.
• Cover for absent staff and support special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Train drivers and staff on systems and provide orientation.
• Analyze KPIs and present customer-specific reports and financial analyses at customer locations.
• Manage inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment in market.
• Assist with payroll, Net-Revenue budget, driver counseling, invoicing, and reporting.
