Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Temperance, MI is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the management of a small driver count and non-traditional shifts while ensuring safe, timely freight movement and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1 year of management/transportation experience with HS diploma
• Willingness to travel to account locations
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights/weekends
• Willingness to regionally relocate based on account assignment

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and carriers to support seamless operations
• Fill in for absent staff and support special projects improving fleet profitability
• Assist with training drivers and staff on internal systems and processes
• Assist in planning routes, monitoring freight, and providing customer reporting
• Support payroll, budgeting, and driver compliance tasks
• Coordinate yard and maintenance activities to ensure equipment readiness
