What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Logistics Manager to lead and optimize all shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations across our two divisions: Strong Hold (industrial cabinetry) and Utility Metals (light poles). In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient transportation, storage, and delivery of raw materials and finished goods. You will lead logistics teams, coordinate with suppliers, carriers, production, and sales teams in a fast‑paced metal fabrication environment to ensure timely, accurate, and cost‑effective operations that support our continued growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all shipping and receiving operations for both Strong Hold and Utility Metals divisions, ensuring efficient material flow from inbound raw materials through outbound finished goods.
  • Oversee proper and safe material handling, loading/unloading, packaging, labeling, and stacking of raw materials and finished goods (including poles, hardware, and industrial cabinetry).
  • Manage, develop, and mentor logistics teams, including drivers, warehouse associates, and production support staff, while fostering a strong safety culture and operational excellence.
  • Direct floor shipping preparation, specialized pole and hardware packaging, order fulfillment, paperwork accuracy (B/Ls, manifests, etc.), and on‑time truck loading.
  • Manage the receiving process with a focus on accuracy against purchase orders, proper put‑away, inventory integrity, and timely system updates.
  • Analyze shipping orders, bills of lading, and other documentation to establish priorities, assign work, select optimal shipping methods, and consistently meet customer deadlines.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve logistics challenges; proactively collaborate with suppliers, carriers, production, and customer service to continuously improve supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive process improvements, cost optimization, and operational efficiency across both divisions while maintaining compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience will be strongly considered).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics or transportation within a manufacturing environment, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership/supervisory capacity.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic, deadline‑driven setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate across departments and external partners.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse and dock operations, including safe lifting/rigging practices.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30‑hour training (dock safety focus preferred); RCRA hazardous waste training is a plus.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Benefits
  • Competitive wage with annual increases and a performance‑based annual bonus.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Company‑paid life, short‑ and long‑term disability insurance coverage.
