Job summary

Kimberly-Clark is seeking a dynamic logistics leader to oversee the Distribution Center and Material Flow operations, driving safety, quality, service, and cost efficiency. The role focuses on developing strategies and executing plans to optimize logistics across the plant and its teams.

You will lead a large, diverse logistics staff, partner with third-party providers, and implement cost-improvement programs while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards in a hybrid work environment.

Summary of Position

Provide logistics team leadership to ensure business objectives—safety, quality, service, productivity, cost, and efficient storage/shipping/receiving of finished goods and materials—are met or exceeded. Drive supply chain value capture initiatives across finished goods and materials as defined for the plant.

In This Role, You Will
  • Lead the development of strategies, objectives and execution plans that optimize both the Distribution Center and Material Flow operations.
  • Drive supply chain value capture activities across all aspects of logistics to eliminate waste, improve storage density, and yield cost savings.
  • Provide input into new or improved processes, standards, or operational plans in support of mill/Logistics strategies.
  • Maintain strong, safe working conditions and drive a people‑based safety culture.
  • Lead and develop the talent of the site logistics team.
  • Provide work direction and leadership to logistics personnel ensuring labor resources are utilized effectively.
  • Where applicable, build supplier relationships on‑site with third‑party operations and hold accountable for performance expectations.
  • Develop and implement effective cost management practices and cost improvement programs.
  • Foster an environment conducive to favorable employee relations.
  • Establish and maintain housekeeping standards in conformance to plant and government regulations.
  • Properly manage materials handling equipment, including lift truck fleet, robotic cells, palletizers, and conveyance system.
  • Provide oversight to Trailer Yard services, safety, and efficiency.
Scope

This position reports directly to the Site Plant Manager and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the logistics department, leading projects to drive warehouse efficiencies and serving as a liaison for third‑party operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5+ years in logistics or operations.
  • Leadership/supervisory experience required.
  • Advanced logistics knowledge and skills, integrating theories and principles into the KC Supply‑Chain context.
  • Provides logistics expert advice, coaching, and counseling to peers.
  • Strong understanding of a mill operation and the integration of logistics within that operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate projects/focus groups in a team environment while providing leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a high‑speed industrial manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing and problem solving.
  • Experience engaging with a third‑party logistics provider.

Personnel: 200–400 direct or third‑party employees. Site size: 600,000–1,500,000 square feet with 20,000,000–30,000,000 direct customer cases shipped.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Safety: lead safety initiatives, maintain safety systems, and foster an environment that removes barriers to success.
  • Product Quality/Housekeeping: maintain systems and procedures in finished products, uphold housekeeping programs.
  • Cost/Asset Management: drive value capture programming, manage distribution and materials handling costs.
  • Human Resources: promote a fair and equitable workplace, provide leadership, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Internal Controls: develop and apply internal control systems and customer service policies.
  • Communication: engage with staff, provide timely feedback, and communicate effectively across all levels.
Total Benefits

Competitive base salary ($105,740 – $130,620 USD for U.S. locations), target bonus eligibility, 401(k) and profit‑sharing plan, comprehensive health benefits, and a flexible work arrangement.
