Job summary

FXI is seeking a Shipping Lead to manage the shipping team and ensure accurate packing, labeling, and documentation for outbound orders in Texas. You will coordinate with carriers, monitor schedules, and drive continuous improvements to shipping processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years in shipping/logistics with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping processes, regulations, and documentation.
  • Proficient in inventory management systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the shipping team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high performance.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to team members to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • Ensure accurate packing and labeling of products to minimize errors and damages during transit.
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor shipping schedules and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyze shipping processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for shipping operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping activities and prepare reports for management.
  • Monitor KPIs related to shipping efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of shipping processes, regulations, and documentation.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
