Job summary

Amcor LLC in Madisonville, KY is seeking a warehouse associate to load and unload shipments, verify inventory, and prepare outbound orders with care.

You will operate a forklift, perform cycle counts, and maintain an organized facility while following safety guidelines and Amcor's standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Forklift operation experience and certification preferred.
• Strong reading comprehension and basic math skills.
• Excellent attendance and ability to work independently.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload shipments and verify inventory accuracy.
• Cycle count to correct inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain an organized warehouse and safety compliance.
• Operate forklift safely in high-traffic areas.
• Prepare outbound shipments and ship confirm with accuracy.

Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES:JDE and DC Link trained to complete job tasks i.e.- load, unload, check inventory, ship confirm and any other assigned tasks.Unload shuttle trailers and deliveries from vendors and production areasPick and load outbound shipments to customers without damage in a timely mannerCycle count accurately to correct inventory errorsMaintain an organized warehouseFollow all guidelines within the Rolling Stock programUnderstand and abide by all set standards and guidelines within the Shipping DepartmentAny other tasks or projects as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma / GED equivalentProven ability to lead and understand all customers for each product lineStrong organizational skills and proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneouslyAble to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the buildingExcellent attendance recordExcellent reading comprehensionCompetency in simple mathProven competency in written and verbal communicationAbility to problem solve and execute solutionsAbility to effectively use a computerREQUIREMENTSMust have Amcor Fork Truck Operating LicenseMust be able to lift 35 lbs. multiple times a dayPrior DC Link experience preferredAbility to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance at a minimum of 30 times an hourAbility to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to othersMust not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousnessHearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns on forkliftsVision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10–12-point font at a distance of 12-18 inchesAble to work in extremes of heat / coldAble to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the buildingVerbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other co-workers in other areas of the complexOur ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
