Job summary

Amcor Langdon, PA is seeking a Material Handler to support unloading, warehousing deliveries, and outbound order fulfillment. You will coordinate product flow between production and warehouse, assist with equipment maintenance, and ensure accurate inventory movement in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Berry forklift license, a high school diploma or GED, strong math and reading skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently or in teams.

  • Berry Fork Truck Operating License required.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and math proficiency.
  • Ability to problem solve and use a computer.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Unload, warehouse deliveries, pick and ship outbound orders.
  • Coordinate and support product movement in and out of production areas.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot warehouse equipment (wrappers, dock devices).
  • Cycle count to correct inventory errors and ensure accurate stock.
  • Load trucks to customer specs and verify labeling/packaging.

Job DescriptionThis position’s responsibilities include unloading and warehousing deliveries, the picking and shipping of outbound customer orders. Coordinate, support, perform and maintain all functions related to the product movement in and out of production areas. Assist with basic functions, maintenance and troubleshooting of Automatic wrapper.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Material Handler consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plantAdhere to all safety rules of Amcor and the Logistics teamEnsure that the Automated Stretch Wrappers remains working efficiently and in proper working capacityContinuously monitor and maintain system dunnage levels (slip sheets, wrapper film, empty pallets, etc.)Finish production room processes by wrapping finish goods (if applicable), and performing a Script 41 - Move on product coming directly off the wrapper and proceeding to scan goods to storage locationUnderstand and abide by all set standards and guidelines within the Warehouse DepartmentLoad / unload and troubleshoot logistics equipment (Wrappers / Dock Locks / Garage Doors / Battery Charging Stations)Understands and will adhere to all ISO & SQF guidelines and policiesTake and score highly on all yearly HR required MyDevelopment coursesTake and score highly on all GDC Training course deemed necessary by SafetyMaintain a safe, clean and organized work areaResponsible for placing product in designated rows in warehouse neatly and evenlySupply production area with needed raw materialsEnsure labeling and packaging are correct prior to moving product into warehouse by understanding how to read a travelerCommunicate with warehouse and production leadership dailyResponsible for loading trucks to customer specifications; verify quantity, product, labeling and packaging is correctGeneral housekeeping of warehouse and dock areasEnsure all trailers are properly inspected and corresponding documentation is filled out properly prior to loadingUse problem-solving skills to handle situations that may ariseAny other tasks or projects as assignedAUTHORITIESCycle count accurately to correct inventory errors only after verifying with LeadershipPick and load outbound shipments to customers without damage in a timely mannerMaintain a clean, organized, and damage free warehouseQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED equivalentProven ability to lead and understand all customers for each product lineStrong organizational skills and proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneouslyAble to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the buildingExcellent attendance recordExcellent reading comprehensionCompetency in simple mathProven competency in written and verbal communicationAbility to problem solve and execute solutionsAbility to effectively use a computerREQUIREMENTSMust have Berry Fork Truck Operating LicenseMust be able to lift 30 lbs multiple times a dayPrior DC Link experience preferredAbility to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance at a minimum of 30 times an hourAbility to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to othersMust not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousnessHearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns on forkliftsStereoptic vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10–12-point font at a distance of 12-18 inchesAbility to lift 45 pounds over shoulder height a minimum of 10 times per hourAble to work in extremes of heat / coldAble to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the buildingVerbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other co-workers in other areas of the complexPrior experience in fast-paced warehouse environment is highly preferredPosition requires consistent attention to detail.Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holiday and over-time.Ability to work well independently or in a team environment; displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.Our ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
