Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift Operator/CDL driver to pick loads, load trailers, stage products, and move materials within the warehouse. The role includes operating forklifts, turret trucks, yard trucks, and over-the-road semi-trailers between warehouse locations.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of shipping/warehouse experience, a CDL license, and a strong focus on safety and accuracy in handling loads. Evening/overtime work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Pick loads and load trailers; stage products for pickup.
• Move products using forklift/turret truck; operate yard trucks and semis as needed.
• Inspect pallets for weight accuracy and load racks with finished goods.
• Maintain safe housekeeping and comply with attendance and safety guidelines.
• Perform safety checks before using equipment and follow EHS policies.

Job DescriptionThe Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift Operator/CDL driver is responsible to Pick loads, load trailers, stage product for pickup, pull product, move product with lift truck/turret truck within the warehouse. Drive yard trucks and over-over-the road semi-tractor trailer trucks between warehouse locations.· Moves product from staging area to designated area within the warehouse· Drives lift truck/turret trucks or yard trailers trucks as required· Maintains row tags for material staged on the floor· Works overtime when required· Operates the forklift to move materials to the lines as needed· Inspects all pallets for accuracy in regards to weight and correct· Loads racks in warehouse with finished goods.· Maintains proper housekeeping while performing duties· Required to assist wherever needed· Responsible for operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times· Performs safety check before using forklift or truck each shift· Adheres to Attendance guidelines· Follows all company policies, procedures and safety guidelinesSafety Commitment:Takes reasonable care for their own health and safety.Takes reasonable care for the health and safety of others.Authorized to stop work when a perceived unsafe condition or behavior may result in an unwanted eventUnderstands and actively participates in the company’s EHS policy, goals, and objectivesEssential Physical Requirements:· Sitting to drive a truck as required as much as 100% of workday· Standing and walking for as much as 70% of workday· Reaching with hands and arms for as much as 75% of workday· Climbing or balancing for as much as 25% of workday· Kneeling, stooping, crouching or crawling for as much as 10% of workday· Bending, twisting, reaching and leaning for as much as 100% of workday· Talking to communicate with direct reports for as much as 100% of workday· Hearing to communicate with direct reports for as much as 100% of workday· Using arms to grasp, handle and type for as much as 75% of workday· The employee in this job is required to exert 60 pounds of force occasionally (less than 1/3 of time); and/or up to 40 pounds of force occasionally (less than 1/3); and/or up to 30 pounds of force regularly (more than 2/3 of the total time)Education:High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. CDL License required.Experience:Minimum 1 year overl-the-road experience.
