Job summary

Aquilex is seeking an Expeditor for full-time work in Coral Springs, FL. The role focuses on tracking outstanding Purchase Orders, updating shipment statuses, and assisting with documentation for shipments.

The Expeditor will support the Warehouse Manager and coordinate with vendors and freight companies to ensure timely in-transit goods. The position requires proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle light lifting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Polite, friendly but firm telephone manner.
• Ability to handle light lifting & moving of shipments.
• Experience in a Purchasing environment is a definite asset.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with vendors, carriers and receivers to ensure the materials flow is maintained and in-transit times are economical.
• Proactively track all open POs, communicating daily with vendors and freight companies.
• Respond promptly to requisitioner inquiries regarding line items or shipment status.
• Maintain open lines of communication with requisitioners as to PO status.
• Obtain and circulate appropriate documentation to facilitate carriers and importers activities.
• Update PO database with current order status and verify against documents.
• Assist Warehouse Manager in verifying received goods against PO, packing slip and invoice.
• Provide receiving/shipment consolidation in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
• Other duties as required.
