Job summary

Imperative Logistics Group is seeking a detail-oriented dispatcher to coordinate driver assignments for daily shipments in a fast-paced office environment.

You will interact with drivers and internal teams to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries, monitor cutoffs, and maintain accurate shipment labeling. The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to multitask under pressure.

Qualifications

• Hard-working, team-oriented individual that thrives under pressure and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented; multi-tasking is a must.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, proprietary in-house software.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers for timely pickup and delivery of daily shipments.
• Monitor airline cutoff times for expedited shipments.
• Assign routes to drivers.
• Coordinate recovery and delivery manifests for multiple drivers.
• Help research and resolve operational issues involving private fleet.
• Develop and maintain excellent customer service habits.
• Assist with escalating vehicle maintenance issues as needed.
• Ensure all outbound shipments are properly labeled for delivery.
• Communicates clearly and constantly with internal teammates to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
• Light dock work, assisting in loading, unloading trucks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
