Job summary

Imperative Logistics Group in Texas seeks an on-site dispatch professional to coordinate daily shipments across the U.S. You will dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries, assign routes, and ensure cargo meets time-sensitive schedules.

A strong communicator who thrives under pressure will excel, handling data entry, issue resolution, and coordination with internal teams, loading dock tasks, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers for timely pickup and delivery of daily shipments.
• Monitor airline cutoff times ensuring timely transfer of goods for expedited shipments.
• Assign routes to drivers.
• Coordinating recovery and delivery manifests for multiple drivers.
• Help research and resolve operational issues involving private fleet.
• Develop and maintain excellent customer service habits.
• Assist with escalating vehicle maintenance issues as needed.
• Ensure all outbound shipments are properly labeled for delivery.
• Communicates clearly and constantly with internal teammates to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
• Light dock work, assisting in loading, unloading trucks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Dispatch provides the highest level of on-site driver support. You will dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries, communicate to the drivers details of their assignments, ensure cargo is picked up and delivered according to time-sensitive schedules, review and assimilate data and enter into computer database. Ensure deliveries and drivers are on time and on schedule. This role requires a motivated team player with exceptional communication and listening skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to take direction and multitask in a high-pressure environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Dispatch drivers for timely pickup and delivery of daily shipments Monitor airline cutoff times ensuring timely transfer of goods for expedited shipments Assign routes to drivers Coordinating recovery and delivery manifests for multiple drivers Help research and resolve operational issues involving private fleet Develop and maintain excellent customer service habits Assist with escalating vehicle maintenance issues as needed Ensure all outbound shipments are properly labeled for delivery Communicates clearly and constantly with internal teammates to ensure maximum operational efficiency Light dock work, assisting in loading, unloading trucks as needed. 1-2 hours per week Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The position is in an indoor, office environment, requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors verbally and in writing, sit for periods of time, operate typical office equipment which requires seeing and the use of a keyboard.
